A great bar that is cask focussed. Lots of options which also includes ciders. Cask is not really 'our thing' but can appreciate a good bar when sat in one. The dark mild was lovely as was the 6-shooter.

Lovely place with lots of great ales and ciders. As well as a nice place for a few drinks in house, they also offer a great takeaway service! Well worth it for our little trip on the broads and they are very close to the Great Yarmouth mooring station. Really easy to use the takeaway bags and lasted very well. Would highly recommend!

Paul Hodgson, the owner is a real piece of work and wouldn't give you the time of day. Being stuck in a dive bar is no justification to take his misery out on others. Do yourselves a favour and give this place the wide birth.

Small but perfectly formed, a large range of their own (very good) beers. Cheerful staff person! Ciders too.

Enjoyed our visit immensely. The beer was top notch and my wife loved the rhubarb cider. We'll certainly be revisiting. She likes the monkey mango as well.

Fantastic ales, friendly staff and a wonderful atmosphere, what more could you want? You can also find out what's available on the Real Ale Finder app.

Warm welcome, able to sit at the bar, lovely to be back to normality. Friendly bartender and locals. Good fresh ales straight from the cask, great music and pork scratchings. Nice.

Friendly place, nice atmosphere, welcoming landlord, not one of those locals bars where everyone stops and stares. Some locals as you'd expect, and want to see, and all very welcoming regardless of whether you're local or just visiting. Decent size and with about 9 or so beers on tap, most being their own brews. On that subject, the beer was excellent. Don't expect keg carbonated beer though, if you want that this may not be the place for you. Very good range of ciders too. When we went the owner was on his own and doing all the orders and table service, but the service was still quick and better singlehanded than a lot of bars we've been to with much more staff. BTW in our experience this is one of only two bars/pubs in Great Yarmouth where you can get a proper pint, and the only true real ale bar. If the quality of the beer is important to you, just head straight here.
