Room was clean and tidy as was the rest of the shared apartment with no curfew, great place for a group on a night out wanting somewhere to stay with the freedom to come and go as you please. Just thought the prices could of been a bit cheaper as it is shared accommodation with no "safe" parking had to park outside the front of the pub on and although it included breakfast it was just a case of help yourself to tea coffee toast or cereal. Overall a pleasant experience.

Rather disappointed by my recent stay. They forgot to turn on the heat to my room in the first night. The sheets smells funny, not sure if it has been cleaned. When I use the shower, the water was a trickle, the tap has more water flowing from it. When I told them about the heat, they just said sorry and turn it on. Given there's no control in the room, it became too hot. There wasn't anyone around when I leave at 9am, I was told to leave the key in the room. For checking in or talking to them, I had to do it at the bar in front of all their drinking customers. The room was also much smaller & older than the pictures in Google map. I am including a few here.

Typical british pub. Rough and rigid, but that is the beauty of it. The lady behind the bar is pretty nice, the prices are fair. You can sit outside way longer than the usual closing time of 11 PM in usual English pubs. Aside you can meet lots of real locals having a beer or two and have a wee chat about Cambridge and it's history. You can even get some great tips of what you can do here during your short stay.

When we arrived, there was a little bug on the bed, I politely brought him to the window to set him free, assuming that was the place he came from. I should have torched our luggage back then and there, because the bedbug infestation that followed was not worth the trouble. My girlfriend is completely covered in bites that itch like crazy. Out initial thought was she must have had an allergic reaction, but I later found little bumps on my body too... By that time we had just arrived home and had placed our luggage on the bed to unpack... Unleashing an entire colony of the beasts in our own bed.

Thinking back, the moldy smell, the dirty sheets... We should have known.

Even if there were no bedbugs, We'd rate this place with a 0 out of 10; loads of noise at night from the other rooms, shared bathroom more disgusting than a public toilet on a train in rushhour... No. Save yourself from this and spend the extra money on a place that does not require you to contact a pest control agency upon arriving home.

Great little place that hides in plain sight with a great atmosphere and doesn't charge the earth for a good pint!
