We found ourselves in the area after purchasing a motor and after the pursuit of a pub with good food, we were directed to the George and Dragon by the locals. Food was superb and staff very friendly, I had fish and chips and my partner had the steak and ale pie which a side dash of a nice crisp pint! Can’t fault the food, it was hot and delicious and exactly what we after. We also purchased some local fresh eggs.

I was also a part of the party that has been complained about below, and do not agree with the statements being made what so ever. The food was absolutely amazing and the service was wonderful, they catered for a large party very well and the foot all came put fresh and very quickly considering the size of party. The staff were all polite and wonderful and dealt with us very well. Also, they were very considerate of the birthday girl having a daily intolerance and catered to this. I would like to thank all the staff for the amazing service and the food was fantastic. I ordered the 3 meat kebab and it was honestly one of the best kebabs I’ve ever eaten. Will definitely return. I was part of the group with the poor comments below and 100% disagree with their views.

Warm welcome, clean pub & delicious food. Had a lovely meal here and it was just before food was closing on a quiet night and still our food was delicious. One of the best steak pie & mash I've ever had!

Never had a bad meal here. Food and service always top notch. One small critism it can get a little loud as the bar is next to the dinning area. It's well worth a visit. Great staff.

Good value and service. Will have small breakfast next time! Would have been 5 stars but menu does not show £2 charge for coffee/tea.

Lovely food. Quiet country pub apart from very loud dog who eventually got taken out, but other than that very nice, good beer- Timothy Taylor Landlord. Pie was really nice. Good portions, so much so, no room for dessert 😅. Will go back again.

It is a very nice pub where you can come with your entire family. To entertain the kids they have two bouncy castles and a little farm with ducks, chickens, geese and swans. You can find drinks at decent price. The food is tasty.
