Went to see Little Women on Friday 25th at The Cryer Theatre with three friends. On good authority that there was a new chef at Spotlight, we decided to eat there. Very disappointing, three of us ordered scampi which was so overcooked it was impossible to put your fork into it and when prized open there was barely any scampi to see let alone taste. That's the second awful meal we've had there and sorry to say it will be the last. Some of the young staff could smile a little more too.....

Lovely place and nice atmosphere but the food wasn’t great. Starters were over cooked ( very deep fried and couldn’t get fork in some of it). the mains (lamb shank) was absolutely swimming in gravy. The chilli was okish but heavy on the spice and the rice too over microwaved. Very disappointing.

This place is a real find. Some good real ale and cider on offer and nice food. £8.50 for fish and chips or burger and chips. Nice background music, not too loud. They have an outside seating area in the summer. If there is a show on upstairs it can get a bit busy pre show or in the interval but just book a table.

Great place for a drink in Carshalton. Good selection of decent beers at a reasonable price. We've eaten here a few times and again the food is good and reasonable price.

Great company, lovely food, and good beer, can't ask for more ... except the number of the lovely woman who kept catching my eye :-)

Great place for a drink but food is a disappointment. We went to Spotlight a few months ago and the service and drinks were great, with an okay food. We returned today and it was a massive disappointment. It took a very long time for the food to arrive; the halloumi chips were not served as described on the menu and one meal was not delivered at all despite the waiting staff confirming that it was on its way. When we enquired about the missing dish, we were told it would be delivered within 2 minutes but we waited another 12 mins before it was finally delivered. All of the other people at the table had already finished their meals. The missing burger was seriously overdone and not edible, so the meal was barely touched. The side salad was literally a couple of salad leaves with some tomato and loads of onion bit no dressing or anything. Overall not a good experience and I do not recommend as a meal destination.

Great place. Friendly staff, good selection of drinks & reasonably priced food. Live music nights are fabulous. Warm atmosphere. Definitely a place to go and relax with friends. Shows upstairs in the theatre are reasonably priced and great fun too.
