The Barrel House

Had a great few hours here whilst visiting Kendal. Cracking tap room with a great choice of local beers, guest beers and spirits. Very comfortable seating inside and out.

Nice clean and friendly pub, with lots of local beers to choose from at reasonable prices.

Lovely pub, but for god sake put Guiness in a Guinness glass

My favourite place to visit for a pint with mates. Staff are always friendly and the local beer options are great. I recommend Lakes Larger. The booths outside are the best seating options. It's a shame the pub side isn't bigger inside.

Interesting set up, indoor downstairs bar with upstairs comfy seating and outside booths plus open air seating. There is also a function room opposite with a bar for events like parties or christenings etc where I believe they can arrange for outside caterers to supply the food. The 🍺 is ok too as it is all brewed on site, with quite a selection for most tastes.

Went there for the pub quiz. Staff is super nice and knowledgeable about their products. Had a great time, definitely recommend.

Nice selection of beers. Not a huge amount of seating inside but heated booths outside. The evening entertainment from a (relatively) local singer was good fun too.
