Hill Island Brewery

I've been going here whenever it's open for years. The owner is a nice guy and the regular crowd are all very friendly. Good beer too. Not for the lager drinkers out there, but if you like locally-brewed real ales it's fantastic.

Great beer. Probably smaller than a microbrewery! Brewery downstairs, Tap upstairs, selling 6 beers at a "mini beer festival". Limited seating and limited snack selection. Did I mention it was Great beer?

Good local brewery beer selection. Unfortunately not great atmosphere and my beer was warm as the keg was in the sun.

Always try and come for a visit if I am in Durham. Great beer, great staff.

Sadly not open on the Saturday we visited, will try again next time we are in the area

Great find extensive selection of craft beers covering a number of styles plus cans to take away..didn't though do growler fills or fresh beer to take away.
