A casual Friday night out with friends and colleagues turned out to be one of the best choice we made in a while. "Core" had a great atmosphere, the music was oldies but goldies with a touch of modern orientated, we danced and felt great and oh boy, we drank like there was no tomorrow because we work a lot and time off is a luxury we rarely afford to spend.
Definitely we will come back for more "Core".

Good location but the place is so small and tight. I believe they offer a capacity more than it actually takes. Probably they can provide more air conditioning or allow less people to get in. Be careful with your drinks tho, never leave anything on the table unwatched.

I'll start with the good: 2 of my 3 courses were tasty, and once the initial hit on the bar was done, service was quick and staff were very friendly.
My reason for only 3 stars is here:
We were told to be there from 7, but it was the day of multiple tube strikes, so we left loads of time and so arrived at 18:45. We weren't allowed in until 19:02, which, if that's their opening time, then that's just how it is...however, when we eventually got in after quite a journey and waiting outside (so quite thirsty), the bar then couldn't serve (the till needed the supervisor to open it) until 19:15. In isolation, either of these would've been fine. Once food started, service was quick and efficient, for the starter and main, and my wife's and my dishes were delicious. For dessert however my wife ordered a cheesecake, which was still frozen in the middle. We shared it, as I had ordered the chocolate tart which would hopefully be better. However the staff had messed up the delivery and the only dessert left was another semi frozen cheesecake. To my mind, with a party of such size (30) and if there is potential of error in delivery, then they should have a few buffers per course, but that wasn't the case. If the cheesecake had been nice, I also might not have minded, but it wasn't.
As always, I far prefer giving good reviews to bad, but this was my experience.

I had a lovely time, I was told my friends that they had wonderful time and I can see why. The food was delicious, the drinks tasted great and they came quickly. Charlie and Own, are people I would like to say thank you, as they were so friendly and helpful and addes to my experience.

Whilst myself and my group had a good time here, they were unable to refund my £25 deposit. Unsatisfactory.

Edit: Sent below an email but got no reply.

Popped in for a work drink and was served by a gentleman named Gabriel. He was polite, professional and very welcoming. You should be proud to have staff members like this

Meal was poor. Extremely disappointed. Wouldn’t recommend, especially at the set menu cost. Bread burnt for starter. Beef tough as old boots for main. 13 Brussels sprouts and little to no other veg. Desert tbc.

It is discriminatory and very biased. Such a disappointing experience. London is great of marvellous places and Core is not one of this ones.
