I went with my partner and another couple, we order a drink and went to dance. After it my friends went to take another drink and it’s been denied by the bouncer. We ask why and to talk to the manager. We never manage to talk to the manager but instead we been kicked out without any reason. I tried to talk to the bouncer but he just kept shouting on me to get out, he didn’t want to explain why we couldn’t drink considering that we were not drunk and was just the second drink my friends were ordering. The bouncer is been really aggressive towards me while I was just trying to understand what was his problem. I think he didn’t like the fact that we are foreign.
At the end we went out because he wouldn’t listen to anything but just shouting…
Another thing is that we paid 5£ each at the entrance without receiving any receipt. So I’m wondering if this place is actually paying tax on the money that they are asking at the entrance.
If you are in Reigate go somewhere else, you will definitely find more fun.
I would recommend this place to anyone for a nice evening.
Unfortunately, this is where the experience then took a bit of a downward step. As I was driving I was not able to drink. My only choices on an otherwise extensive drinks menu were “Diet Coke/Coke” at £2.50 for a small glass bottle; or “red bull” for £3.00 for a small can - clearly the mixers for some of their cocktails. The waitress offered to mix me a “surprise non-alcoholic cocktail” which I thought was very kind of her… until I realised that the approximately 300ml cocktail containing fruit juice, a mashed strawberry and a blackberry was £11! Ridiculous!
When asked to provide me with tap water (which is a legal obligation for licenced premises), I was first reminded about the wonderful cocktail I’d just had and that I really should try another. Tap water was eventually supplied begrudgingly… My nights drinking (19:30 to just before 00:00 therefore consisted of one shockingly expensive small glass of fruit juice and a single glass of tap water). Needless to say, I wasn’t impressed.
The cocktails here are - from what the rest of my party described - lovely; but at between £10.50 and £11.00 each, not cheap by any means - with no deals, etc on either. I’ve seen better pricing in trendy bars in central London.
Service was good, but too prompt - as other reviewers have noted, look away for 5 seconds and your glass has been cleared; even if there is still some left. The staff are more than happy to sell you a replacement for £11 though!
The piano musician was great - it’s just a shame he was talked over continually… when the piped music was put on (in between the pianists sets) it was increasingly made louder - to nightclub levels. Ordinarily, not an issue, but as we couldn’t dance or get up, it made talking very difficult and nearly impossible later in the night - which was our only option of something to do other than drink!
50minutes after the second order (thinking we might get at least one of the orders we'd paid for) we left
No-one at the establishment was at all concerned that we hadn't received the order we'd paid for.
Definitely won't be returning
