Nice pub tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the city centre.

By the sounds of other reviews it's been revamped recently, and they've done a good job. Salisbury is certainly not short of pubs/restaurants, but if you want somewhere a little quieter with decent food, this place is just the ticket.

Just a few minutes walk from the Cathedral, this place fitted the bill perfectly.

We were greeted warmly by the staff when we arrived (my brother and I) on a Sunday afternoon. FYI, this place is dog friendly which is a welcome bonus.

Ordering food was easy and arrived pretty quickly. The menu is a little limited (pizzas only), but maybe that was the time/day we were visiting. Regardless, the food was very good; apparently cooked in a wood fired oven (though don't quote me on that).

I had the standard cheese and tomato pizza, which looked great. Obviously freshly cooked and not out of a box.

The pub itself looks tidy and smart. There's seating inside (with a pool table) and plenty of seating outside for the occasional sunny day (which I'm glad to report it was for a change).

Would happily visit again.

Keep up the good work.

New ownership and reopened. Brilliant atmosphere, loving the music and the deco. Staff are fantastic. Beer garden is such a big space and loved sitting in the sun with friends and family. If you haven't been yet, go and see the new staff and enjoy a friendly welcoming chat and a drink.

Excellent friendly staff as nearly 30 rugby players desended on them without warning after they won there league with 17 wins and 1 loss record. We will be back.

I've been a Salisbury head for a lot of years but only started patroning the Anchor since its been refurbished and had a reputation change. We visited with around 15 of us for a good knees up and a catch up with friends. Chantelle was our bar lady and sorted us with steady table service all evening and was an absolutely outstanding memever of staff, the black haired lad ofn the var is also an exceptionally brilliant barman and a good laugh and friendly. Hats off to Anchor and Hopr.

Good pub this and it's big inside. We played pool and had a few pints.
Friendly welcoming staff, wide selection of drinks and good prices. Pop in for a pint 👍

Tasty burgers 🍔 and pizza 🍕 to share in a large back garden. Highly recommended in hot sunny days after 6pm. ☀️

Great pub, spacious garden, nice selection of ciders and one of the best (if not THE best) pizza in Salisbury! The Detroid style pizza is simply delicious. If you love pizza, but looking for something different - you must try it!
