Just happened to be walking past with my dogs and the Barrel and Bean was open . I nipped in for a coffee and cake ,i was made very welcome as were the dogs. I had a chat to the staff who told me that they had only been open since March. Had my self a nice piece of cake and a coffee, and after finding out they're open 7 days a week from 11am until 11 pm 12 at weekend I decided to come back for a beer another day, looks like a good choice of ales Try it you will like it nice atmosphere and friendly staff, nice to see a bar opening instead of closing .

We have been coming here from the opening every couple of weeks as a date night, and have the hard work and dedication that has gone into the place. The staff are lovely and helpfull always chatting. The real ales are always changing every week, so we get a good variety of brewers, also bottles, and once we took an interest and we got into a tasting session with the owner, whos not a self proclaimed expert, but loves a good excuse to have a chat and would spend all night chatting to be pefectly honest lol, lovely guy!
All in all, you get a good welcome and made to feel at home in a cosy atmosphere with some decent people xx

Dropped in as we were walking past. I like this sort of place: small and friendly. However, we only wanted a hot drink... but... No decaf coffee, no decaf tea, no normal tea, no toilet as the water was off, so we had an ice cream instead! They need to get a bit more organised. Hopefully things will pick up.

Beer garden is a mess and untidy.
Staff have no idea of the real sales on tap. Often the 3 on are all IPAs so only choice is the brewer. Should have varied beers on like IPA, Dark butter or pale.1 seated toilet & no urinal is lacking.
Improving on the above would make it a nice local.

Crackin little pub with work in progress but worth a visit. Good staff with a nice range of drinks including a good coffee. It's also good to see new up and coming pubs. Well done

Nice little bar. When we went it was full of kids. This was at about 7pm. Its very small inside and 3-4 of the tables were full of kids. Had one drink and left.
