A great atmosphere, good selection of drinks and friendly staff.

We sat downstairs in the vault which was nicely air conditioned and very comfortable.

Great place to stop by for drinks and lunch. The food was brill we had various types of toasted sandwiches which came with side of salad and coleslaw all reasonably priced. Lots of choices of ale and of course I have to mention the pot of tea and slice of jam sponge for £3:90 mmm. Staff all polite and friendly.

Nice pub in a bank building, the vault was downstairs and has been converted to sitting areas. The bank manager's office is a nice sitting area too. Looks like a locals hangout and dog friendly. The burger and pulled pork sandwich were good.

What a warm cozy friendly establishment. Very kind and attentive staff. I hope to visit your lovely little pub again very soon!

We stopped in on a Friday afternoon for a quick drink. My buddies and I were site seeing in the uk for a few days. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Was a couple of the best and most enjoyable gins we had the whole trip

October 2015: old review from 2015 and some old photos from the same time. Been here a few times now and it never disappoints. Great place for craft ale, in a quirky old bank.

Lovely friendly service and excellent lunch. The Nachos were so well topped and the club sandwich was massive! Home cooked chips as well. Definitely worth a visit
