Fantastic new bar in the Uplands. Went there on a Saturday night with my girlfriends and was pleased to get some seats in the upstairs bar. Credit to the top floor barman who was very attentive, served our drinks swiftly and was very friendly.

Great vibe to the place, there was a DJ downstairs and as the night went on the music got louder and lots of people dancing and having a great time.

Nice bar, good addition to the uplands scene. Pretty relaxed atmosphere, good service.

We came here for cocktails on a Friday night. On the first couple of rounds, two of our group ordered The Great Gatsby, which arrived garnished with cranberries, pink in colour and tasted delicious. Later in the night, when the bar had got busy, we ordered another Great Gatsby, however when it arrived it had no garnish and was almost clear in colour. When we tasted it, it was pure alcohol with no flavouring whatsoever. We took it to the bar and spoke with the guy who appeared to be the manager. We explained how the cocktail looked and tasted different. He tasted some himself and told us that that was what it was supposed to taste like and the first two had obviously been made incorrectly. He didn't offer us an alternative cocktail or give any suggestion to make up for this error, but instead turned his back on us and carried on behind the bar. This left a bad taste (literally) on an otherwise pleasant visit. A little bit of politeness and professionalism would have gone a long way.

A little pricier than some bars close by but their cocktails are DELICIOUS and inventive, also named after Classic books. The decor is funky and it's lively on weekends. If my wallet was more full I'd head here far more regularly!

Lovely venue..
Service ok.. but slow
5 staff on (4 bar, 1 doorstaff)
All apparently facemask exempt .. 🤔😆.. ok
(Apart from when they go into Sainsbury's next door)
Wouldn't return as brewstone was a much
better choice and far more professional. (And 50% off drinks during appy hours)!
