Went for Sunday lunch small portions no stuffing on a chicken dinner when asked for some was told there was not enough to go around, all food and gravy came on plate no extra gravy boat.

My response to the message from owner!!!!!!!!

We payed for our meals individually, we definitely did not have a gravy boat as we commented that the other tables did, and there was one of our party without stuffing on the plate that is why your staff was asked for a bowl of stuffing, and as far as I was aware no one on our table was rude to any member of staff nevermind to several members of staff as only two members of staff served us, so how could we have been rude to several members of staff? I find this reply very offensive as we are never rude to hospitality staff.
Regarding the £3 under payment to what does this relate?

Lovely little Pub. Dog friendly, you can take Dogs into the Bar area. First time I've been there, will be visiting again. Edit! Was a bit disappointed on my return visit. Saturday 2nd June I sat outside with my dog for a quick drink but was approached by what I believe to be a scruffy local and offered a selection of drugs of which he described as best Heroin around. Clearly the village idiot as he wouldn't go away and hygiene was not high on his agenda. Would recommend staying away.

Often stop off here on the way home, if I've had a difficult visit with my 95-year old aunt :) Last time decided to treat myself to Ploughman's lunch with my pint - huge platter with huge variety of food! (there's also beetroot in a small dish, just off-picture)...

Very clean pub with beautiful decor. Enjoyed a perfectly cooked Beef Sunday dinner today, beef literally fell apart. Great portions for the price of £10.95.
Very friendly staff and service.
Will definitely return for more drinks and food. They also offer takeaway.

Lovly venue,spoilt by an artist who was flat and couldent hold a note,and had to have the volume so loud to cover his lack of talent,ive been to heavy metal gigs more quiet ,thank god dident have to pay entrace fee...

The food was very well presented, tasted great and was reasonably priced; however the issue I had was the service or lack of. I think what makes it worse is that it's table service only, so when you don't see anyone for 20 minutes and have to get up to get someone it kind of defeats the purpose. I also spoke to a family member who had been the previous weekend and they had the same issue.
