Went for a family meal on a busy Friday night and had a lovely time. A very well appointed country inn, with rooms and extremely welcoming staff (especially the owner Jamie). Service was good, if a little busy owing to it being a Friday. The food was excellent, very fresh and clearly made with local produce. Interestingly, it was also very reasonably priced with a good portion size. Overall, a great experience and an establishment i'll certainly be visiting again.

Cannot praise The Griffin or their staff highly enough. The building, the setting, the gardens are all beautiful and every member of staff we met was so helpful (I can’t remember his name, I think Matthew, but the young man behind the bar in the evening and running breakfast service was so helpful) The room we stayed in was immaculate and comfortable. Slightly noisy, but it’s a busy pub, you expect that. The food is excellent, we’ve had lunch here a few times and dinner during our stay and it’s always been delicious with very generous portions. Breakfast was something else, great start to the day.
Jamie and Leila are the perfect hosts and cannot do enough to make you feel welcome and valued. We were there for a special occasion and Jamie sent over a free bottle of Prosecco to help us celebrate which was such a pleasant touch. Really looking forward to our next stay here!

Really friendly welcome and excellent service. Interesting menu and all of our 4 different choices of main course were beautifully cooked and presented. This was our first visit but we will definitely be back!

We get married at Irnham next month and have the pleasure of Michael & the Griffin Inn team catering for our big day. Since 2019 when we first met with Michael (head chef) he has been so kind to us, and such a pleasure to arrange such big details of our upcoming day, as well as always having the most tasty food, from our very first complimentary fish & chip order when viewing the venue, to Sunday lunches & trailing our Wedding Breakfast menu Michael & his food is 10/10! Can't wait to finally be back next month to enjoy it once again after a good few years of planning! Charlotte & Joe K!

We had lunch here today, and it was excellent. The staff were attentive, Florence was lovely, Jamie and the young lad behind the bar(Sorry, can't remember his name) were excellent hosts, interesting and friendly. The food was faultless, I had the burger which was very tasty and cooked perfectly, with real chips! As for the treacle tart, if you go, you'll know what I mean!! We will return with friends, highly recommended.

Good food - a cut above standard pub fare and at a similar price point. Absolutely beautiful place too so a potentially nice place for a special meal. The teenage staff were a bit clueless though that’s often the case with country pubs. What I really didn’t get though is why we were treated to a playlist consisting of 90s grunge music. I’m 45 so I like a bit of Nirvana myself but not while eating Sunday lunch…. I could not bring myself to give them five stars for this reason

Stayed here for a wedding.
Such a special place.
Hosts were fabulous and the Griffin Inn was a superb place for overnight and breakfast, which was delicious.
