More old style, simple drinking... Good beers (Theakston Old Perculiar on draft), friendly and helpful staff, and friendly regulars. Also dog friendly with bowls of water available. Pool table and a small outside area accessed through door inside the back... I enjoyed my visit and will return...

We stumbled across this pub whilst looking at ale pubs and walked into a friendly atmosphere with a band playing Country Roads. I really enjoyed my visit to this pub and it was good to go and see. The staff were really friendly and as this was our first night up north after a rough day it made it all the more a nice visit. I would recommend visiting this pub however make sure you go on one of there bands nights to enjoy the entertainment they provide.

A first rate pub with good prices and brilliant live music. Look out for the counterfeit Celts and the rest of the crew .they will have you up on your feet singing and dancing in no time at all
