Great service on a busy day for them, which is good to see.

I came here with a group of 14 for a Sunday Roast, which you can imagine would be tough for the waiters and kitchen staff. But they handled us well!

They told us well in advance when we made our booking of the time restrictions for the table. And during our meal, they kept us informed of how long we had. I know some people could have an issue with this - but it was our fault it took so long to order, so no issues with them keeping us informed.

The pub is situated in a nice village and has ample parking around the back of the pub, with nice views as well. The seating inside was a little cramped, but not bad enough to ruin the meal.

The food was really nice and heard everyone on the table saying they enjoyed their starters and mains. Their roast portions are big - so be mindful of that if you decide to do a 3 course meal like we did.

I also appreciated that they were acomodate a request for chocolate custard with my dessert (it's been a long time since having it, and had a craving for it). They happily obliged - it's just a shame I was too stuffed to finish it.

All in all, would recommend for a Sunday roast as part of a big group - and I'm sure I'll get the same welcoming experience next time I visit in a smaller group.

Brilliant service great food prices good too. If you like quality over quantity then this is the place for you. Staff really nice and the young lady who waited our table was an absolute delight.

Went for a birthday lunch. The food was lovely, hot and beautifully presented. We had three courses and thought it was good value.

Lovely meals and friendly staff in a beautiful countryside setting. Decent IPA beers on tap. Many thanks!

Came in with a pushchair. No obvious disabled access either at the front or rear of building. Couple of members of staff saw us but offered no help or assistance. Sat down to a table where there were dead flies/ wasps on the windowsill. Nice first waitress but the guy who was obviously training was absolutely horrific. I have no issue with people training but he had the personality of a potato. When asked what came with dessert he came back and said ‘ice cream, sauce and stuff’… and that was after the second time of asking. Obviously there to earn his £9 and nothing else. Roast beef was meant to be rare but was medium at best, veg for three was more like veg for one and everything just lacked taste. Given that the restaurant had just opened and that it wasn’t busy, it really was a train wreck start to finish. Most of the young guns working there seemed to be focussed on serving the young lads coming in for a pint. Would not recommend…

Went for the Sunday roast and completely enjoyed the meal and service from the friendly staff. Arrived for the meal at 5 and was shown straight to our reserved table. The only downside was the fact that the pub does a fantastic deal that children eat free from 4 till 7 and unfortunately not all of them, or the adults supervising, apparently knew how to behave in a public venue. Although we enjoyed our meal I would not book again after 3.

We hired a boat and moored up by the nearby Bridge which was about a 10 minute walk up the hill. Service was excellent. Nice selection of Gins. Wonderful view in the beer garden. The food was also excellent with generous portion sizes. Would recommend..
