Lovely little pub, gorgeous food! We ordered from the outdoor menu, our food came in takeaways boxes but it was fantastic. Would definitely return.

This place is just what you want to find after a long journey. Great people with amazing service beers. They where very welcoming for me arriving by bike from a long journey and even made it their best to find a place for meto stay. It’s difficult to thank this little gestures that make such a great day. Thanks Dave to you and your family for having this essence and wanting it to share through your pub.

Just had a Sunday dinner there the size of the portion was terrible my 3 year old has more on his plate. £15 I wouldn't even pay £5 for that. It was absolutely shocking tiny bit of veg come out in a bowl for me and my partner to share. Will not be returning that is for sure. Do not recommend!!! Very disappointed.

Nice restaurant area with intimate feel. Food below average. Stale foccacia, medium temperature burger, stone cold onion rings (which were replaced with hot ones upon request), and the sloppiest raw brownie you'll ever likely be served. Service friendly and professional, but reluctant to ask how food was, I suspect because they get alot of negative feedback. Another table who ate near us had similar complaints and didn't hang around. Can't see us going back anytime soon unfortunately.

Have to give top marks for the new owners and staff. The place is really lively now but the service is good with a varied menu. Prices are average for a pub restaurant but the atmosphere is what really makes a difference. Recommended.

Can't believe we haven't visited The Wheel before!
We booked for the seafood night and the food was amazing. I had the swordfish steak and it was the best I've ever had! The food quality is second to none.
We have visited Rick Stein's seafood restaurant in Padstow and The Wheel beat Mr Stein hands down 😁.
We were so impressed with the food and customer service that we have booked Sunday lunch.

Lovely meals on a chilly night staff friendly heaters helped.
