Attended Victoria Hotel Saturday 4th Feb 2017, The landlord, who I learnt is not the most popular of men, had gone on holiday, leaving his daughter in charge.
I'm given to understand that the she had not been given any instructions in how to change a barrel of Pedigree beer, and had to research how to do so on the internet. Therefore there was no Pedigree beer, although the pub is owned by Marston Brewery.
Half way through the evening a local , (who drink Guiness) decided that the Pedigree beer was good to serve. The bar person therefor pulled off and served the beer, it was cloudy and tasteless. For the price that Marston charges for it product (in excess of £3.20 per pint) the product was a disgrace.
If the star rating could have be given under the one star, I would gave given it

We recently held a bit of a family reunion here for relatives currently living overseas. The landlady / manageress really went out of her way to accommodate us, arranging a buffet of amazing value and quality and reserving a section of the pub for our use. To say we aren't regulars here, we were made to feel very welcome. Thank you for a lovely evening 'Vic'!

Nice pub and staff, except the landlady will quite happily slag off her staff in front of customers, calling them every name under the Sun. Atmosphere in there is good until she decides to appear, which is very rare anyway. Don't think I will be going too often.

Had a good night in a good village pub music was on to add to the atmosphere. Nice friendly bar staff and a good pint of real ale.

Nice cosy pub, Covid signs and one way in/out no food served, other than bar type snacks, beer garden to the rear, lovely people run this friendly pub and less between Derby and Nottingham , resides in Draycott, plenty of car parking, dog friendly.

The place stinks of urine and is run by the most unhelpful and unwelcoming people I have ever had the misfortune to meet.
Not sure why they are running a pub as they clearly don’t like people let alone customers.
They don’t do food either which is clearly a trigger question for them, their response was somewhat aggressive when we asked if they do “Does it look like it” was the response we received.
There are much much nicer establishments to frequent in Draycott, give this one a wide birth and avoid any eye contact with the occupants when walking past.
