Old Cobblers Inn - Pub & Carvery

Came here today after visiting the ELR What a nice pub! One of the best I've visited for a while. Big and clean inside with a nice outdoor drinking area. Also a little kids play area which was free that's always winner! We ordered off the app food and drink came quick and we eat everything so can't complain. only gripe was like all green King pubs food is reasonably priced but the price off drinks is ridiculous! £4.50 for a strongbow fruits come on green king sort it out!

11 close on a Friday? Shut up tight at 9.45 pm yeah that's close to 11pm....

Adding that it seems like a legitimate reason it was closed, would have been nice to see a closed due to illness or something sign. Have changed score to reflect update.

Popped in for a visit, if you go by car you have to log reg number. Inside was not to busy which I don't mind, pretty good menu not to badly priced. Service was excellent. My other half had carvery, I had a ploughman's and to follow ,a mega sundae dessert for 2 (bit of over indulgence really) . In all worthwhile visit and if you like trains it's next to the east lancs railway .

Went with friends and their children. The kids loved the soft play! Gave us time to catch up and have a coffee. Food was lovely and the staff went above and beyond, especially Andy who was very helpful and friendly.
Unfortunately there was a family who became argumentative with staff regarding the play rules. This was dealt with swiftly and handled perfectly. Well done.

We visited the new soft play yesterday which is great and it's a big spacious room for kids to play freely. Be aware that adults can't go on the top level with their children which I think is disappointing as I won't be able to help my son gain the confidence to go up there and down the bigger slide when ready for this. The reason for the 3* was the food...it was awful! The veg we ordered with the kids meal looked 3 days old and was dry and two pieces where rotting. The adults meals were just as bad, over cooked and microwaved. I would go again to the soft play but not have food or just take snacks for my son.
I really hope they can keep this place clean as it is a great addition to Rawtensall and will be well loved my local families I'm sure🙂

Had a party for my 2 year old son with a mixture of ages from 2-6yrs. All children enjoyed themselves. Debbie dealt with us from booking the party to the end. I couldn’t recommend a better person to sort everything out or place to have a party. There was no stress at all, the staff did everything from start to finish. We will definitely be having more parties there. The price was very good for everything you got and the staff was amazing. I’ve been to birthday parties before and seen the stress on the parents face which has always put me off doing a party for my kids. I’m glad I chose the wacky warehouse in rawtenstall and will be going back in the future.

2 new visits to mention how we Have really enjoyed our visits once after spending a day at the zoo. Then we just didn't feel like cooking.
The staff are always so welcoming and also make you feel safe. The food was great too. New photos added.
On arrival we were asked for track and trace details.
Shown to out table by friendly staff member. The tables are distanced well away from other customers, we felt very comfortable and relaxed. They have the greene king app for booking and ordering food & drink.
The food was lovely i had my favourite this time (think its called) sweet potato and chicken pea curry. This is actually more filling than it looks. You can add a naan to the meal. I sometimes order a side of chips but this time I wanted a dessert. I had the vegan option of the cherry bakewell with vegan ice cream it was lovely.
I have since been again and this time had a new dish called the cornish pastie pie. It was very good and does taste very good. The gravy comes in a little gravy boat so you put your own on. I loved the crunchy pastry but it was a bit thick round the crimped crust, I still liked it though.
They do have some really good favourites on the menu and the staff are always very friendly and helpful.
