We went for a bite out for the first time since September. We sat outside, as I am not too sure whether we could have sat inside, but the weather was too glorious not too enjoy.
We did not expect such big portions, we both had a salmon sandwich with chips each and I am not exaggerating if I say that smoked salmon was one of the nicest ones I've ever had. Chips were cooked to perfection.
We also had an antipasto to share, it was enormous 😂 really good though. I had a double G&T (we celebrated our first time out in months in style). Waiters were so friendly! And the general atmosphere felt really relaxing too, despite the virus not quite gone yet. Tables were distant from other people's, I used the loo a few times and it was spotless. I would definitely recommend, too food, top service.

It has the potential to be lovely but the chef needs to improve both quality and presentation.
The room we stayed in was spacious and the bathroom cavernous however there was no extraction fan and windows don't open so condensation was a problem especially due to us visiting in November.

Charming pub in magnificent location with the backdrops of Pendle Hill .
The staff are all quite young and a bit inexperienced but so so friendly and wanting to help , good natured with a great sense of fun.
Our room was well appointed with contemporary modern furnishings , great shower but reasonably small and done steps inside which could be tricky if you have mobility issues.
We stayed on the coldest weekend of the year , with snow on the hills which was beautiful. At times the pub felt cold despite the log burners but the warm friendly atmosphere and a girth or two served as winter warmers!
The menu has changed since our previous visit snd was more traditional and the service was a little slow at times . However the quality of the produce was excellent and the meals when them came were all delicious including the full English breakfast.
Overall we felt very at home here and had a fantastic stay

We booked for two night stay, room was very compact with a view of a yard out of the small window, bathroom was lovely. Evening meal was good but kitchen service finished at 8pm. Breakfast was a disaster, could not get a second cup of coffee as kitchen had closed.
Clearly, this establishment has staffing problems, they mixed up our booking (fortunately I had printed it out), our booking was for Sat & Sunday but no food Sunday evening we were told when we arrived, we decided to not stay the second day.

Expected this place to be good because I’d visited the village before and all the reviews were great, especially the quality of the food. Room is compact and stairs are steep, but it is an old building so that wasn’t a problem. Staff were great and location is superb. It was only after we had booked that we found that food is not served on Mondays and Tuesdays, not just the day we stayed but for the foreseeable future. This really should be highlighted before booking otherwise you have to have a taxi to the next town or just have a packet of crisps.

Really good evening meal. They were really busy but able to fit us in for dinner, really professional, polite and attentive. Lovely meal and fantastic service provided by Tom and Andy. Would definitely recommend and will be visiting again!

We were made very welcome, had a delightful lunch - I had the beer battered fish which was lovely & crispy. The was a good atmosphere even on a mid week in early December. We shall be back.
