George & Dragon

Beautiful pub with the loveliest team of young staff. Although one of the staff had only been with George and Dragon for 3 shifts, she made every effort to help us out and bring us what we needed. We were also so impressed with the food. We each ordered a cappuccino to start and had the fish and chips. The fish and chips were the best I have ever had! So fresh and battered lightly without any extra grease. We can't wait to come again - thank you for the lovely experience.

Attended today for lunch where the food was lovely. Had the lamb shank and apple pie and it hit the spot. It was very clean and tidy in a lovely part of Kent. Staff were very welcoming. Will return again.

Beautiful pub and village.
Food was fine but not special,2 beef roasts were apparently OK but the nut roast gravy I had was boring and over salty. Broccoli and carrots were slightly overcooked but the cabbage and cauliflower were good. Whitebait was nicely cooked but a small portion for £7.95 ( yesterday in a pub near ramsgate we had 3 times the amount of whitebait for £3.95 & was really tasty!) Kids burger was standard as we're nuggets.
Staff were excellent, really friendly and efficient.

Was the first time here and no way we were disappointed . From the moment we came through the door to a very warm welcome, until we left the service, was great, the food amazing. Everything was cooked to perfection and presented very well. We will definitely be going back. We booked before hand and that turned out to be a very good idea..

The 8 of us were made very welcome in the pub, as we arrived for an excellent breakfast. The teas and coffees were 'proper'. The prices are very good, we will definitely be coming back, often.

That was a lovely English Pub. We had a reunion with my friend. Lovely atmosphere, nice service, great food, yummy and fresh (enough vegetarian options- it's important for me😉). I felt like home. It was a great experience 👍

We were just passing by on our way home and fancied a bite to eat. Bearing in mind it was a Sunday afternoon we weren't sure what to expect as we hadn't booked a table. Luckily it was late enough in the afternoon that there was a couple of tables empty and we were able order a roast dinner each. The service was excellent right from the start, we didn't have to wait long for our drinks or our mains. The food was exquisite, the beef perfectly cooked (tender and succulent), veg perfectly steamed and delicious roast potatoes. Sadly the cauliflower cheese had run out (due to our late arrival), but the staff were happy to substitute this for a few extra potatoes at our request. Desserts were also ordered - the Apple & Strawberry Crumble is particularly exceptional.

If you're in the area, this is the place to eat. We'll be back!

A lovely pub serving a perfect Sunday roast. Super friendly ladies who are always on the lookout to make sure you’ve got everything you need to enjoy your time - we’ll definitely come again for sure.
