Very nice pub with lovely food. An old building with lots of history attached. Large free carpark and lots of indoor and outside space to eat and drink. The staff are kind and friendly and Sarah who spoke to us today was very helpful with our requests. I would come here again, you try it, I don't think you will be disappointed.

I have been in again today for a homemade Chicken and Mushroom pie, which again was brilliant, so I will now give The Punchbowl a 5 rating which I don't give lightly. Well done to all the staff

Second time in a fortnight me and my wife have been for dinner........had two great meals. Just had the best burger and home made coleslaw I can remember. Staff are really friendly and it has the feel of a nice local pub. Looking forward to eating there in summer with our little one.

We have visited several times for a drink and once for food. A friendly place with a reasonable selection of drinks. Several good beers on tap. The food menu is adaptable - the chef will adjust for any dietary requirements, which is really helpful

Could do better, doesn't serve food, no atmosphere, been in weekends when you would expect it to be busy but no very quiet, landlords nowhere to be see. If you're a dog or football lover you're fine as dogs allowed & TV on constantly. Shame for a village pub. Pity they have little or no competition otherwise they might up their game.

It's not bad decor wise inside, and they have a good games room.Toilets are decent too.HOWEVER...The car parks like a scrap yard, landlord uses the customer carpark, like a scrap yard and garage, rubbish everywhere, kids bikes discarded all over,,what I can only describe as rammel everywhere, just discarded stuff leaning up everywhere, instead of being taken to the scrap yard, fairly dangerous scrap glass fibre play slides and frames, broken and just left there ready for kids to hurt themselves on,the swings are rusty, there's a rain shelter with all car stuff, mainly wheels piled up in it and to cap it off, they only have light ales,no Amber ales.

Based on this inaccurate information, we walked from Ilkeston to this pub only to discover that it is permanently closed as of September 16. Unacceptable.
