The Golden Lion

Been here twice. Both times the staff and landlord have been very friendly. Locals who drink in their where welcoming and friendly too. Working in town for a few months so this is 100% my local for a quick pint after work. Thanks

Lovely pub good surroundings beer well worth trying

After our bad experience in the restaurant next door,we went into the Golden lion pub,the staff especially the pub manager and her fellor made us feel really welcome,had such a laugh with them both , including some of the locals,just a big thankyou, customer service second to none

Fantastic menu of unusual curry dishes mixed with other Asian flavours. Also have the standard regular curry's you would expect. Connected to a pub so drinks flow very well and the service is great. All food is cooked fresh and staff are friendly. Live music is a plus with some great bands.

Went to this lovely pub on Saturday 26th November had a lovely meal in the Indian restaurant very reasonable. Then moved on to the pub. What a lovely friendly atmosphere all the locals lovely. The landlord was so friendly and made us feel so welcome. Will definitely be back.
