Very poor meal and unfortunately not the first disappointing eating experience. I had the fish and chips and it was obvious from the colour of the batter that the fish was very overcooked. No one came to ask if our meals were OK and that's a first for us. I should have refused to accept my meal but I was hungry and didn't want to wait and eat separately to my husband. Have decided from this latest experience not to eat in a Wetherspoons again. On the plus side, the bar staff were pleasant and tables were being wiped after use and the drinks were good.

It was OK. That's probably the best that I could/can say. Food was reasonably priced, drinks were typical Weatherspoon prices, good value as to be expected and very much the norm.

Yes it was busy & yes it was gone 2pm, but there were numerous tables that hadn't been cleared & generally it felt cluttered and untidy. Picking a table that was free from 'dead glasses' was the challenge of the day.

Our drinks arrived promptly and our meals followed shortly afterwards. The food filled a gap & was hot when it arrived but was nothing special; maybe my expectations were/are too high.

A bit disappointing really plus the place is looking past it's best & could do with a refurb or an injection of fresh decor.

Lovely Breakfast, only fault we had was an older gentleman practically came in and sat on our laps. I think we were sat at "his" table. Made us quite uncomfortable as he was leaning on the same table that we were eating at while he watched the TV. Essentially trying to get us leave quicker. Real shame.

We went for dinner at the buffet bar there were no bowls or cutlery had to ask twice for them

When our dinner arrived most of it was ok , the steak was fine the chips some was hot & some were cold the pea pot was hotter than the peas .. we asked for the salt & vinegar as there were none on the table but the staff serving us didn't bring it over to us . All in all it was a ok meal .

We visited for lunch on a Sunday at about 12.15. Upon trying to order on the application there were multiple items that couldn't be ordered and so were removed from the order at checkout. We tried some different items with the same effect. Then we went to the bar and found out they had no fish and only about half of their burger ingredients.
Once we actually managed to order some food it was standard Wetherspoons fare, satisfactory and fairly cheap.
We'll probably stick to the Moon Under Water at the other end of the High Street in future!

Lovely clean wetherspoons
Even though mock tails weren't available on the menu the bar guy specially made a very nice one for me being 8months pregnant. Made my day.

Very good as usual. Good food, great beers and as cheap as the chips they sell.
Keep up the good work.
