Ordered a mixed grill, was told there were no fried eggs so offered scrambled or poached. Opted for poached. When arrived I was told only scrambled were available. The whole dinner was Luke warm at best. I complained to the server who then asked the manager to see me. The manager then proceeded to tell me that I had my plate on my table for 1/2 hour that’s why it was cold. Absolutely disgusting customer service. Received a refund after several tables around me confirmed my story. I Was more or less being called a liar. 😡

I went into your Harlow pub yesterday and ordered a pint of Guinness. I have been drinking it for years and know that apart from the head, it should be a dark black. However, this one was a light brown even after it had been sitting on the bar for over 5 minutes.

I therefore asked the person who served me, who claimed he was the Shift Manager if I could swap it for something else as I did not want to drink something that just didn't look right.

He said no I can't, gave me my money back and said he would no longer serve me that night, but did not bar me, in fact he said to come back tomorrow. He said that clearly their beer is not up to my standards. I said well that one's not which is why I have asked to swap it, but to no avail.

As a Customer I feel I have the right to express concerns about the quality of the item I intended to drink before I do so. However, I was, I feel, penalised for expressing genuine concerns about whether it was safe to drink said pint.

They've now decided to bar me for expressing genuine concerns about the quality of their beer.

Avoid, drinking their beer may make you ill, and I mean more than usual!!!!!!!

Great place to go and eat or just have a drink. Great selection of food. The only criticism is they could do with more people on the bar when its busy. I was in there recently, quite a lot of people waiting to be served and only one person behind the bar.

Great drinks and fast service. Unfortunately had under cooked pork on my meal. Team leader Charlie very quickly apologised and issued a refund for the dish. Star rating would have been lower if not for the speedy actions of Charlie. Well done that man!

I think this place is just fine, okay it’s at the depressing end of the town but that isn’t the fault of the business, meanwhile, the staff do a great job keeping bar running and the tables clear and clean. Also a nod to the kitchen who turnaround the food in quick time.

My sister and I came for breakfast, I ordered the small American breakfast and it came up stone cold, I returned it to a bar staff only to it being brought back to me having being zapped in the microwave, including the fried egg. Anyway it wasn't exceptible so the lady got onto her walkie talkie demanding a fresh one ASAP, letting everyone in the pub to know what was going on. Anyway the fresh breakfast came out only for the maple syrup to be so cold it must have just been poured from the fridge, and the hash brown was still frozen. The pub wasn't busy at the time, so I feel like this service really wasn't acceptable. The coffee from the self service machine was lovely though.

From outside it looks poor and uninviting. Inside is great. Library & fireplace. Food good as any other Wetherspoon
