Dog friendly pub with amazing food to feed their human owners. One of the best steak pies I’ve had in a long time.

This lovely old pub, in a building that dates back to the 17th century serves excellent food as well as a fair range of drinks on tap. There is seating inside the building, in a conservatory area and outdoors at the back. The steak and ale pie was delicious. Definitely worth a visit

On entry we had a really warm welcome. There was a great range of drinks with plenty of seating inside or out. Out the back there is a nice beer garden with covered seating along with heaters.

There's a great menu with something for everyone including vegetarians and vegans. Food came exceptionally quickly and was absolutely delicious! There's a quiz every Thursday night so just be aware if you are around in the later evening.

Haven’t been here for a long time but popped in with the family for dinner and it was fantastic! Really happy, friendly staff. Harry was v helpful and a fun and polite red headed guy and dark haired guy too - Really made our night. So nice to see staff getting on and enjoying their jobs. It’s rare nowadays! The food was excellent - exceeded our expectations- Hot, tasty and reasonably priced (Chicken Schnitzel, Fish and chips, vegan burger with nachos, sausage and mash and steak burgers) we were all impressed (including our pooch). It was a bit chilly to sit in the garden but it was so pretty to look at! Lovely pub - we’ll be back.

Tried the quiz night last night with 6 of us. Lovely pub layout / Staff really friendly if slightly over-worked for the number of customers. The big shame was the food which was truly awful! Solid/overcooked and dry burgers / Cheesecake was vanilla with Vanilla ice cream - An overly-cold triangular pencil rubber with zero taste !! Such a shame as we really like everything else !! Not going back in a hurry but may give it another shot at some point in the future !!

Amazing pub, fantastic food.

The service we had for dinner was exceptionally good. We were greeted as soon as we walked in and the staff were very friendly and helpful. It's good to see a pub that makes it clear when you need to order at the bar.

The food came really fast and was 5 star.

I can't find anything negative to say. I 100% recommend a visit.

The staff were really friendly and attentive, only a couple of things stopped it being perfect, the serviettes were like tissue paper , the beef was sliced so thickly it was hard to cut and it would have been nice to have had the gravy served in jugs separately, more pud selection would have been nice too
