Loved this pub.!You can’t beat sitting right next to the canal eating a gorgeous Camembert and having a glass of wine. We had tried to drive there and paddle down the canal from the pub but Google took us to multiple dead ends. We ended finding a public launching spot up the canal and floated down instead.

I've seen a lot of beer gardens but this must be one of the largest I have ever been to. When your table no is 622 you know that's not normal! Loverly seats overlooking the canal combined with good food and ales. Not easy to find but well worth the effort.

Beautiful riverside pub garden, stunning location, nice building, staff were friendly. Shockingly overpriced food though! Pic attached is the £15 vegan burger, complete with lettuce a la big mac, plus several chips. I added the sauce myself.

I will rate it 5 stars for the beautiful location. We visited many times while our bike rides or paddle boarding/kayak trips for drinks or lunch. I would rate 4 stars for food & drinks. Polite staff. However, the indoor drinks collection area wasn't very clean.
Definitely will be back as it's our favourite place during our activities.

Brilliant pub - we turned up at around half 8 and the staff very kindly made a meal for us despite the kitchen it being fairly late in the evening. The haddock and chips was lovely - the haddock was definitely worth it for the price we paid, and I would recommend this pub.

Such a warm welcome on a wet day. Open fires in one lounge/room and another in the room where the bar is. Very unrushed atmosphere, friendly dogs welcome, and ample space inside and out.

We'd just had tea and cake say the quay, so their lighter meals were ideal. Both the Haddock and Cumberland sausages were excellent sand service was very quick.

Great atmosphere, lovely location, delicious food, what's not to like! We've already decided we'll be back soon. Highly recommended.

The pub is in an amazing setting.
The app is a good idea but your order arrives dependent on available staff. So pudding and coffee came quick but drinks took ages.
The group said their food was good but sadly mine was disappointing. However, when sharing quietly my views, the waitress indicated she was sorry and noted I'd not eaten the meat (due to it being tough and gristly) she offered me a drink which I felt acknowledged my genuine disappointment.
Overall a lovely visit.

A lovely stroll along the water from Exeter Quay. Sat outside and enjoyed a drink and lovely bowl of cheesy chips watching the swans and paddle boards pass by.

Ordered food and drink via the app and it was delivered promptly to the table. Great start to the year!
