Lovely place to have a cold drink after a long walk. The staff are great and make you feel welcomed. Will definitely visit again.

This is a proper little pub. The food is really lovingly home cooked, comes in hearty portions and is served by staff that make you feel like a regular even if it's your first time. There's gorgeous views out the front and a lovely garden behind. We'll be coming back again and again.

Proper old fashioned pub. Great beers can get busy as it is quite small. Good views of the marsh and the Flintshire coast

Loved it in here.Only popped in for a pit stop as was on a bike ride but obviously a popular place for cyclists and locals alike.Warm and inviting with friendly staff and customers and a nice pint to go with the favourable ambience. We will be back, plus there's a large seating area outside, overlooking the River Dee and Wales.

Lovely pub - great location. Stopped here for break after walking wirral way. Food is tasty and reasonably priced. Good selection of drinks considering pub only small.
Has a great feel about it - deffo worthy of a stop off. Benches outside for great views over the estuary.
Be mindful if approaching from Parkgate of foot - its muddy and wellies a must!

This picturesque little pub looks lovely and welcoming from outside but it's a bit different once through the door, it's dirty with cobwebs hanging full of dirt and grease, the kitchen revealed an overflowing basket of dirty cloths, so I was happy food had stopped before 3, though I had heard steak pie was worth waiting 45 minutes for. Chatty bits of paper taped to tables meant I couldn't sit down, and standing at the bar the overpowering smell of stale ale sent me outside. Guinness was nice,
