Bull & Lion Inn

Lovely pie night on Wednesday. Steak and kidney with melted Stilton and cheese and leek pie. Chips with skins were well cooked.
Gravy was beautiful and reasonably priced.

We went to the pub for a drink today & the landlady came out to the outdoor tables to welcome us (Tracy) & that's a first. We chatted for about 20 minutes & we'll definitely be back next week for food! They've been at the pub for 4 months & if they are always this welcoming they are going to do really well. Thanks Tracy for your time today & for making us feel very welcome. I'll update you on my consultant call tomorrow when we see you! (I was in a wheelchair if you haven't guessed!) Di & Pete xx

I was visiting the area from Ireland and after a Google search I found this pub.
Had a beer on Friday night and came back again for a few beers and food again on Saturday night
Very nice staff, owners and locals. Made feel very welcome
Great food cooked fresh even at 8.30pm. I think last food orders where 9pm or a little after
I would definitely recommend this pub as a good place to have a few drinks and food
No loud music but great for an enjoyable social evening

Drew and Tracy are lovely welcoming hosts. The food is great value, and portion sizes are more than adequate. We'll worth a stop, if in the area.

Popped in for a quick drink, the reception and hospitality from the staff was like premier league football! Top class. Can't wait for food here the menu looks wonderful and very accommodating for all and at a very good price.

Think I've found the perfect local; shame we don't live locally!! Called in by chance on the way back from NEC. Very busy (Fri night!), but they managed to find us a table. Excellent food, good range of ales, all the staff & team (and locals!) were very helpful & friendly. Thoroughly recommended, thanks everyone!

Had a fabulous meal tonight 14.1.23 for my husbands birthday. Staff were very attentive, food fab and amazing price! Lovely friendly atmosphere. So much nicer than going to a chain restaurant. We'll definitely be visiting again.
