Fishfinger sandwiches are the best ever, beer really good. But only one thing bothers me, every time when we are there, tables inside are so sticky, we try to clean but actually the product what they use was the problem, so little advice maybe change products to clean tables?

I love this place . Only one criticism they don't have my favourite wine anymore. Will still go and drink something else.

What a lovely welcome, smart looking inside with few tables looking over the river, £12.50 for beer and medium wine. Never seen soap like this before

Really well run pub, relaxing ambience. Dog friendly. Lovely ales, reasonably priced, interesting, sensible length menu with a few novel dishes as well as traditional favourites. Emphasis on local produce and businesses.
Liked the soap on spikes in bathroom! Honestly, why can't more places do this? All these liquid detergent dispensers (there's no "liquid" soap, it's detergent, a chemist informed me) ...
Anyway, great pub. You should go!

Good place to sit outside on a nice day and have a drink and some crisps from the bar. This is exactly what we were there. Lots of seating, friendly fast staff and cold brews make for a great pub.

We had our Christmas works lunch here and it was a wonderful experience. The food was delicious and served by fantastic staff. One of our team has autism and the team went above and beyond, catering for their needs. This was this member of staff's first ever team lunch and the management and waiting team were so helpful and accommodating, which, unfortunately is still a rarity. I would like to extend my gratitude to the whole team and would highly recommend The Prospect for their food, kindness and inclusivity. 🙏🙏

Lovely old pub beside the river Exe. Very pleasant staff, good menu and a good variety of drinks including real ales.
One year later, another holiday haunt!
