Good food, great service and just beside the train station!

One of the worst places I’ve eaten in a while.
I give them two stars because the staff was really friendly and on the ball. The kitchen however is a true let down: small portions - dried out bread - tough meat - overcooked fish - and gosh - burning food seems to fashionable.
There needs to be some change.

A decently located pub with a nice decor. I ordered steak sandwich and though I would've preferred softer bread, the steak was expertly cooked.

Nice place to come in for a warm, cosy feel and a long lunch. I wouldn't recommend it if you're just about to catch a train from the nearby station and need a quick meal. Starters were good, and so were mains. Just the patte in my burger was a little bit overcooked; other than that, everything was amazing.

Fantastic place for a quick bite and a coffee. Premises is clean. Staff is friendly and very helpful. Coffee is of a good quality served with a smile. Very peaceful and calming relaxing atmosphere. Also due to its location premises have lovely view too.

Went in today to try the Sunday lunch - which is apparently a new concept in which you start off with a little station where you could pick your own nibbles, meats, fishes, soup and breads- which were all great and gave me the choice of what I did or didn't want to pick which was great. There was then a 'sharing roast board' which I haven't seen before but we went for it. I very rarely go out for a roast because I like to think I'm quite the cook myself but hey, it's nice to have someone cook for you once in a while!
I can happily say I am SO pleased I did, myself and a friend shared the roast platter which could probably have fed a small army but was well worth it. There were 3 different meats, each one full of flavour and perfectly moist. The potato's were perfectly crisp on the outside and fluffy inside which is what you want with a roastie.... honestly for me though I think the veggies (and perhaps yorkie - check out the pics) were the star of the show, so much flavour and wonderful textures - move over boiled veg, you're a thing of the past. I think my parents had given me veg like that as a child I might not have been so adverse to them! We also got a dessert each (creme brulee for me) and again it was just perfect and I am not really a desert person. Great atmosphere, lovely staff - why not?! Highly recommended and will be telling all my friends!

Nice friendly staff in a modern venue but looked great with retro styling. The full English breakfast was good and tasty although the potato hash did let the flavours down.
