Lovely pub , friendly staff, made us & our dogs feel very welcome . Perfect place for popping in for a pint or two after a long walk. We will definitely be back.

Old fashioned pub - at lunch-time the bar is frequented by an "elderly" clientele who are very welcoming. Usually a choice of two guest ales and a good pint of Bass. Background music is ok and not intrusive. The back room has a fruit machine, quiz machine, darts and pool. Not a food pub or suitable for "sensitive" ears!

Have been using this pub about 40years
It as now reached a consistent period wherein a good pint of craft beer is assured
Mathew our landlord has proven his skill over the last 10 or so years
So without hesitation I would recommend the pub to anyone

Great classic English pub, popped in with the Mrs for a quick pint on a random day out, with us being from the city it was very clear we where dressed completely different to the locals and stood out like sore thumbs, this being said we where made extremely welcome by the landlady and regulars, reminded me of how pubs used to be and should still be, friendly chats and bit of banter, myself and the good wife agreed that the pint served was the best we had had in a long time. Only problem was that we dint have time to stay longer, we have both agreed we will be making a trip here again.
