New to the area and thought we’d pop in for a drink. Very friendly bar staff and the decor is nice and modern. Noticed that the staff were attentive in cleaning the tables, always a good sign! Good pint of Butty Bach was had.

We will be Bach! Pun intended..🤪

Nice pub, not the best pint of moretti. Food menu looked nice and staff I saw seemed really nice and chilled.
Nice location, outside there is a beer garden that's on the river. There's also a pool table and darts and they were showing sports on the TV.

I am totally disappointed in cancelling our Christmas party 3 days before due to england winning football and England playing on day we have booked. Very rude over phone, very unprofessional set up. If it wasn't for us phoning up we wouldn't of known. Deposit was given and menu sent. Thanks for that.
P.s we said we would give bad review. She said she would give our care home a bad review...how mature
As I can't reply to your message. I've not used names and advice you to do same. My manager did confirm booking. As for your telephone manner, was utterly out of order. We was quit willing to make it an earlier time of day. As for other party of 30 they cancelled I expect because football was on. You can reply and say what you like. I heard the way you spot to my manager. Not great

I heard about an open mic afternoon, so thought me and the missus would have a Sunday afternoon meal there and watch the open mic.

First of all, management thought it a terrific idea to put the open mic right at the back behind a great big load supporting column where nobody could see the acts. And the only seats available in that area were overrun with ferral children running around.

So we were forced to sit the other end of the pub where we couldn't see the open mic.

The menu is simple. There is very little vegetarian or vegan options. So if you are they way inclined, give this place a miss.

We ordered wings as a starter, she had the roast dinner, I had fish and chips.

After 45 minutes, our starters had still not arrived. Spoke to the barman who then went into the kitchen. We waited another ten minutes and complained again.

What was more annoying was when you looked into the kitchen, chefs more interested being on their phones and playing around with his hair, not very hygienic and they were no hair nets seen.

After an hour, our wings came out. The wings tasted really nice.

Our mains came out 15 minutes later. The missus poured her Gravy over her dinner as I put my mushy peas on my fish. We then realised both gravy and mushy peas were stone cold. Complained, dinners sent back and told 20 minutes for new dinners.

The waiter asked if we wanted complimentary drinks. I said kick in the desserts for free instead which was accepted.

The fish and chips were amazing, however the roast dinner was not good. The pork stuffing was raw in the middle and there was blood soaked string found in the beef.

There was some good talent at the open mic. Just a shame the view and the food was so poor. We won't be coming back.

Went here tonight for a drink and some pub grub and it was extremely pleasant. My beer, neck oil ipa was really tasty, and our food, two burgers and chips for 12 quid no less, were bloody excellent. All staff polite and helpful. Zero complaints

Awful service and awful food. We booked our midweek Christmas party here last week; a group of over 25 guests. We had pre-ordered our meals many weeks in advance so you would think they would have enough time to prepare everything. However, the food took way too long to arrive and the timing was totally unacceptable. Some tables received their meals after 1 hour whilst others had to wait almost 2 hours. There was no communication or update on the delay, it just seemed to be a matter of pot luck on who would be served. Some guests ended up leaving without having any of their meal, even though they had paid in full, due to the delay in service. The food that did arrive was of poor quality which just made things worse. Overall, probably the worst dining experience I have ever had. Unless you love waiting 2 hours for substandard food, AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE!
