This pub is a little gem. We had a birthday for one of our friend. They were very friendly, the food absolutely delicious, never had such a tasty and great sized burger in a pub before, and in good price so hats of chef...told him too.
Definitely worth a visit. Garden is lovely too. Big thank you for the staff.

Hands down the worst Sunday Roast ever.

15 containers of food and nothing labelled. Just what you want to be doing - guessing what's in what when your starving.

Beef was for sandwiches and really thin. Smothered in gravey too.

Potatoes were not done well at all. And the veg was OLD. Yorkshire puddings were rock hard.

Extra gravey in coffee cup and custard was ambrosia (see photos).

Cauliflower cheese was rancid ( see photos)

There are no excuses except a really awful chef and managennet who do not care.

Its a shame to have to write this during COVID but I think there are no excuses for companies now who are lucky enough to be serving not to be giving an A1 service and quality we expect and deserve.

Just celebrated our daughters 4th birthday yesterday. We had over 30 people and a nice size room to fit everyone in. Everyone enjoyed there Sunday roasts and small plates. The staff were amazing and Rebecca went above and beyond for us, whatever we needed she accommodated. We were thoroughly impressed and overall its a great pub, great atmosphere and lovely staff. Would recommend a visit and would definitely be returning. Thank you very much

Sunday roast was mediocre and lacking seasoning hardly any meat and two small roast potatoes.. 17 pounds for "full" adult size plate and half price for childrens "half" size plate both exactly the same size no difference at all total rip off in my opinion rather awkward especially after they take your money before you get your food.. not that different to a frozen ready meal with a giant Aunt Bessie's Yorkshire pudding plonked on top to make it look substantially large.. to be honest I wouldn't bother again . Although as a foot note I will say that the staff were wonderful.

What a wonderful gem of a pub. Great friendly staff, fantastic food, spacious function area, roaring fire, good range of drinks and lovely decor and spotless clean. Great to see a proper independent pub doing so many things right, if you are nearby pop in for a visit, you'll not regret it.....

In a world where disgusting service and people with the interpersonal skills of a tapeworm is now the norm, it was wonderful to come across such a lovely place run by people who care for customers AND service. The pub has a friendly atmosphere, it's warm and cosy and their sweet beautiful dog greeting everyone :-) Definitely recommend and will definitely go back x
