Had the lunch menu and it was good value. Service by Sara was friendly and efficient. Only negative point was one out of the three desert choices was unavailable. Lovely atmosphere and the setting is beautiful.

A nice courtyard-style beer garden outside, parking, craft beers and some decent wines by the glass. Laid back friendly staff. The building dates back to 1743 and is impressive. Great for a meeting with friends and other dog walkers. Dogs welcome. Easy to park. We didn’t eat here but the menu is British typical of the Marston’s chain.

Our waiter (Sara) was very patient with her older customers and gave us longer to decide for our drinks and lunch. A few times we did have to rethink our order and then change it but Sara was very kind, patient and understanding. She also did a amazing job running around the restaurant helping customers and serving. Amazing food and drinks definitely a memory to remember.

First time visit for a small family wedding meal. Staff went over and above to make our meal very special. Table set out beautifully. All meals were lovely. Thank you to all Staff

I had a get together for my business and Scott had made my day amazing. The food and setting was super great , thank you for every thing. This is my definite go to place and it’s great management. Can’t recommend it enough. Thanks again Scott !!! Got great feedback from all my guests on the day !! Will be back soon !!!

The size of the head on my pint they definitely can’t pull a pint !! Arrived today just get a drink but as soon as we arrived the rude man said you don’t want food and we said no we are just getting a drink and he walked off and said good we ain’t got any left . Ordered a pint and this is what I got … didn’t have any snacks / crisis etc absolutely waste of a place atm .it’s got another lot of new owners who clearly don’t care .. hopefully these lot won’t last and we can have a nice pub back until then I won’t be back … can’t stand rude staff especially managers who are meant to set a higher standard ..

Amazing service from start to finish. Booked a private room for a large family gathering. Staff were efficient, friendly and really helpful. Food was lovely and very reasonably priced. A great venue. Will be booking again for next year. Thank you to all the staff!

Nice atmosphere and good place to eat.
Food was good but nothing more than you'd expect from a pub style restaurant.
Staff were very friendly and helpful and we had a very good large family meet up and dinner.
