To be honest, as someone who lives in Brighton I have plenty of options that would probably fair better than whats on offer in Lancing; until now. I would call this pub more of a locals joint, where everyone knows everyone and the people there are out to meet all their mates. For pubs in this category there are few which fairs from the similarity of The Railway Inn. The door staff were friendly and not overpowering like they are in Brighton (mostly), with the drink and food prices being fairly reasonable. They had lovely homemade pizzas for £5 - £8 each and the £5 option was more than enough for yourself. Bar staff were easy going

The night we went* they had a deal or no deal event going on (yeah I wouldn't have thought so either), which to be honest was pretty entertaining. I now find myself wanting to go back just so I can win that 1p bar tab. The DJ was pretty good with figuring out the crowd and responding with wit at the given moment. Kick-out time was a bit argumentative but to be fair, it normally is anywhere you go and its probably because we were being slow.

And its only 60 seconds from the station!

Lovely pub next to Lancing train station. Glad I missed the train and had an excuse to pop in for a pint! Lovely decor, one of the rare pubs left that feels like a traditional old English pub. The ladies behind the bar were all very polite and friendly. Very welcoming.

Not the same its more a sports bar you cant hear yourself think and music on loud at the same time. A lot of trouble and drugs go on. I loved it when it was the old monk it was never as bad as it is now.

Lovely pub, cater for all customers, show live sport, DJ on certain nights, have a pool/darts area, large bar and a quieter/comfortable area to serve food.
Would be five stars, but wasn't informed about registering my vehicle until my second visit.
Although there are a couple of signs in their window, my first visit there, it was dark so did not notice the parking restrictions within their carpark, wasn't informed by the barstaff and now will £60/£100 lighter....

Awful awful pub, full of suspect characters and a bar maid who appeared to be having a breakdown. She ignored us for the first 5 minutes whilst swearing loudly do not bother
