Busy Sunday and since we had not booked we were lucky to get a table outside at first. After getting our drinks and a bowl of water for our dog the very friendly waitress came back out and offered us a table inside since some guests had left early. Starters arrived very quickly and was delicious (salt & pepper squid and a Carrot and chickpeas salad)
The mains were as good as the starters. Very tasteful and lovely display of the food. Also good size portions as we were hungry. All and all a 5 star experience in a cosy and friendly environment. Thumbs up also for the parking at the back.

Beautiful pub with lots of outdoor seating. Good menu but only had bar snacks as it was too hot to eat. Friendly staff and lovely atmosphere

Had lunch with friends a couple days ago. Delicious freshly cooked food eaten in the garden area. The fish and chips was one of the best I've eaten. Great service and relaxed atmosphere. Compliments to the chef & all the staff. Recommended.

We discovered this pub when we moved to the area 4 years ago. Its such a wonderfully styled restaurant buzzy ambience and lovely staff. 2 of us in family are veggies. It was some of the best pub food you could find. We always had trouble choosing as they had vegetarian friendly pasta or gnocchi dishes in rich, creamy, flavoursome sauces. Sadly it seems since they are taken over by Youngs this has vanished. Now they "offer" 2 bland full vegan options. A mistake some restaurants made (initially) thinking they could lump vegans & veggies in together and we'd be happy. They fail to reason veggies outnumber vegans by 5-1 and we still want real cheese. dairy, not just a vegetable with grains in a thin sauce. Nobody other than full vegans want this. Until they finally sit up and react to this we won't be returning. Which is such a shame for us, and them as we had parties, tables for special occasions and large group bookings there. Please listen to your feedback guys, I've seen many other reviews saying similar.

A really lovely experience, first time I have visited, we had not booked but a delightful lady organised a table for us… food was excellent and the service by a young chap called Sam was exemplary. Well done.

Incredible roast dinner if you're looking for a restaurant in Esher. It gets very busy so make sure you book to avoid disappointment. We had to sit outside and food service was slow because of this.

Went in the morning to miss some of the lunchtime rush.
A very nice and quaint pub, a lovely spot to enjoy a coffee and read a book.
The staff were very nice and the outside area is well maintained. Would be a good spot for sunnier days too

Venue: Offering a relaxed and welcoming pub setting with sofas and a fire place , adjoined by a stylish dedicated restaurant with tall ceilings. Good amount of parking , outdoor seating and nice toilets.

Food: Classic gastro options ensuring there’s a dish for everyone without being overly ambitious or adventurous. Food is of a high standard that won’t disappoint , arguably a bit expensive but excellent cocktails that shouldn’t be overlooked.
