Beautiful outside eating area with wooden picnic type tables and chairs but no umbrellas stands were there we sat in a shaded spot but betime we had finished the meal we were in 32°full sunshine. I had hunter's chicken with chips and side salad just could have done with a bit more sauce in a jug. My husband had fish and chips served with mushy peas which he said was a bit dry the fish was huge and very tasty. Other than that can still recommend it

Really nice pub. On a good day you can sit outside over the river, absolutely beautiful spot. The food was very good, quick and efficient service. Restaurant inside also very pleasant big windows, good view.

Reasonable place for a pint and some pub food. However, there wasn't much to choose in ale department (only one ale available).

Went for lunch at midday. All the staff in there were very welcoming and friendly. The service was excellent. We had the steak baguette which was very nice. Looking forward to go again.

Really nice place! You can sit outside and listen to the calming sounds of the river or sit inside and socialise, whatever you prefer! The food was amazing, delicious, heavenly. The drinks were quickly served and the waitress was lovely!

First time I had visited The Sump, to meet up with friends who I hadn't seen since before covid. Lovely location with friendly staff. Extensive menu & reasonably priced. Food was satisfactory. Would visit again

Lovely views of the river,music was a bit overpowering and took over the sound of the river. Nice family atmosphere and very polite and friendly staff. Beer was nice.
