Fantastic food and atmosphere. Staff was very attentive and made sure we was very.looked after. They allow dogs and you can buy treats for them at the bar. Definitely recommend and we will be back

As my local sad to see the pub as it is. The food is good, but if you meeting friends for a drink you won't get a seat until food has stopped being serving, there is a table empty reserved for staff, no more bands playing, yet can stand around the bar as long as you don't get in the way. As a local it feels that you are just not welcome anymore, lost its soul. It's a restaurant now and I hope it does well, got to get used to change I guess.

Fantastic food, been twice recently. Once for breakfast and once for lunch, both visits were enjoyable. Excellent service coupled with amazing food. Will be going back for sure.

I grew up coming to this pub for food every weekend for 2 decades. So many memories and it's changed so much over the years, only gotten better and better. Fantastic service, beautiful interior and the food is perfect.

We visited the Royal Hotel on a Tuesday evening. We ordered Gammon Steak and Cumberland Sausage. Good quality food; nicely cooked; good portion size. The food came in about 15 minutes. We had gin & tonic and Madri Lager to drink, both were clean tasting and refreshing. The staff were friendly and helpful. All in all, an a most agreeable experience.

Lovely clean spacious room. Great value. Very Dog Friendly. Really nice pub. Best Sunday Lunch I have ever had. Highly Recommend.

Myself and my family had lunch here on Sunday, I ordered the lamb roast dinner and I couldn't believe how much flavour there was in every element of the meal. We all thought that the staff were super organised, efficient, and friendly. The atmosphere felt calm, we had a great table to accommodate us all and the children. Will definitely visit again :)

We have had takeaways and sit down lunches at this pub/hotel a few times in the last 4 months or so and found it excellent. The food is very good and the staff friendly and efficient. The pub itself is very pleasant.
