OK bar. Kitchen closed when I arrived at nearby Premier Inn. Closed apparently on Monday and Tuesday. But they did let me order a takeout and eat it in the bar whilst enjoying a pint.

Ate here yesterday evening. The pub has a warm & inviting atmosphere. The food here was lovely. I enjoyed all three courses. The staff were very friendly and attentive. Lucy our server was excellent & we will definitely go back again.

Booking on the phone option is not working as it says its all booked up however, it was empty. We had to book through the website.
Arrived on time and ordered drinks then waited for over an hour and a half for the meal which did not arrive,as we had a baby with us we had to arrange to eat elsewhere. It really messed our Saturday up.
We did not have to pay for our drinks due to the poor service received.
Other guests were unhappy as their food was cold as there was only one chef that day.
We normally like the place as it's local and nice but we won't be in a rush to return until this service improves.

Party of 26 for Christmas lunch menu today. 12.30 for 1.00pm.Starter of soup. Soup was warm but not piping hot. Steak was good done to my liking. However I asked for it with a salad and not chips etc as per menu. There was only a salad garnish amount of leaves etc.Would have expected a full salad. Christmas pudding dessert ------ good portion size and nice pud. However not enough sauce to do it justice. We had to wait a long time between courses and main meals didn't arrive until about 2.15. My opinion is that the meal is overpriced. One member of the group had to leave at 2.45 as he had an appointment at 3pm so had to take his dessert home . The service wasn't good. Apparently they only had one chef and there were only 2 ladies serving. Surely more staff should have been brought in when they knew there were 26 due in!! We eventually left the Peacock at 3.45 ish. Not good when the meal was booked for 1pm. I would hesitate to recommend this establishment to anyone.

Quiet location, friendly staff. Food was of a good standard, not that much of a variety as it was a Sunday we visited and roasts were the chosen meals! Great for a family get-together and there's a hotel to stay in should a beverage or three be needed!

Visited with friends on the 28th December. Wasn’t very busy but the food was shocking. We waited over an hour for food then when it came the first two meals were cold and not serve red up as it said on the menu. ( missing various food items) .
Waited another 1/2 hour for the last meal to come out, again that was missing food , and was just warm. Really disappointed with the food, expected more for the price of what we paid.
Didn’t have anyone come over and ask if everything was ok, my friend actually left her meal in the end.
Very disappointed, shouldn’t happen on a quiet day!
The manager on duty was lovely and very understanding.
We won’t be visiting again
