Delicious food, good size portions, friendly staff, great value for money

Great carvery and good atmosphere. The staff were friendly and efficient and made a suitable fuss over my toddler.
There is a superb walk just next to the pub but I'd rather keep it to myself so I'm not posting details and hopefully any readers won't Google it and clog it up with grockles

Superb food, exceptionally quick service and friendly staff. Very reasonably priced food, particularly in the current climate, and some very good real.ale on the pumps👍🏻

First ever visit to the Bowd Inn today... to be honest I booked a bit late... but they managed to get a group of 14 of us in! Lovely place, amazing food and despite it being very busy all the staff were on point! We all had a cracking carvery and I can assure you we will be back for more! 5☆

Have been to many pubs over the years, and this pub is one of the best. Staff really friendly, and helpful. Dog friendly in front area. The carvery is excellent, especially the roast beef, cooked to perfection. Would highly recommend.

Lots of friendly staff. We enjoyed the carvery at the special over 55 price as my husband had just celebrated his 56th birthday. Plenty to eat with a nice choice of veg. I expect this gets very busy so may be worth booking.

When I think of old fashioned pub grub, I think of a warm welcome, a quality meal, value for money and a good sized hearty portion.
Let me tell you that the Bowd Inn delivered on all counts. The mid-week carvery deal is definitely the way to go. I have no hesitation in recommending The Bowd.
I would recommend booking a table beforehand. It gets quite busy with "mature diners".
