We stopped in this lovely pearl while cycling from London to Brighton. It was lunchtime and we got a couple of shandy beers, some cauliflower with truffle and cheese, and some chips. We settled outside. Awesome location, the staff was friendly, and the food great!

Beautiful large garden area with shade. Good selection of draught larger. Food served but I only stayed for a drink. Short walk north to a Bluebell Railway crossing just West of Sheffield Park

We heard really good things from friends who had eaten here so went with two other couples for a birthday meal. Excellent food and service! Will definitely come again

Had an amazing meal here with friends. Food was top quality and prices were comparable to elsewhere with a similar quality. Service was good, waitress was polite & friendly.
We came here over 12 MTH ago when the new owner had just arrived. Sadly, at the point they didn't quite have it right. Food temp etc. So glad that we came back and will definitely be coming back.

Super, freshly cooked food. With suprising original touches. I had pickled herrings last night, for starter, delicious. My partner had state wing for main, loved it. Didn't have pud. The service was with a smile, well worth a visit. Would definitely return.

I went to The Sloop today with my son.
I had a Sunday roast which was nice, but nothing special for the price (£20.50).
My son’s meal was a very small portion of pasta. The only dessert option on the kids menu was icecream which he didn’t want, but I still had to pay £10. But the biggest rip off was the Coke Zero, from the pump, which was £3.95 for a pint 😳
We won’t be back, especially after 2 lovely visits to The Snowdrop and The Rainbow in the last month. Such a shame as this is a nice walk from our home.

Food was lovely. Staff were attentive and all went lovely. But for a group of 12, it was far to cramped and squashed up so much it was very difficult to eat. Otherwise great if your in a smaller group.
