Always have a positive experience in here, friendly staff and a great selection of beers and ciders. It can be difficult to get a seat at busy times, but there is a small beer garden as well. Best of all, they stock Thistly Cross Cider!

Awful place. Very little cask-drawn real ale in evidence; mainly very expensive so-called "craft beer" in cans or bottles is stocked. The owner is just interested in making money. Very bad customer care. Don't go to any of their tastings - a rip-off at which customers supply the food and the owner just offloads his undrinkable swill which he can't get rid of any other way.

One of the best real ale spots in Chesterfield. Lucky to cal this place my local. Not only is the beer choice exceptional but the owners are always very friendly, welcoming and accommodating 👍🏼

Excellent selection of beers and ciders. Very friendly place and dog friendly to boot. No music so a great place to go for a chat over a pint or two.

A great find. We spotted it as we were fuelling up across the road at Morrison's. So pleased we took the time to visit. The landlord was very welcoming, as were the locals. The ale was very well kept, and there was an excellent selection of bottled and tinned beers to satisfy all tastes. If you're passing, make sure you stop off, I highly recommend it. 🍻

Great choice of beers whether on handpull, or can/bottle. Lovely landlady and locals who gave us local knowledge iin their opinion where to go or not. Clean and Covid safe
