The Lord John - JD Wetherspoon

Decent enough and roomy typical Wetherspoons. Called by en-route to football match at Forest Green Rovers and was busy serving a well behaved group of visiting supporters from Newport County. Bar staff worked hard and always seem to be of a cheery disposition. Toilets are downstairs and therefore not disabled friendly but access is easy enough from a bustling busy street. Great range of beers and other assorted alcoholic drinks. Food looked great but did not partake. Nice pub.

Really good value. Made the most of curry night and really enjoyed it. The pub itself was clean and bright and the staff were very friendly and helpful. A lot of people knock wetherspoons but in my experience you get what you pay for and it can't be beaten.

A good atmosphere. A sun garden and plenty of sitting areas. Good food at a sensible price. Quick service. Food was hot and well presented. Recommended.

We used this establishment twice, and both times we had no complaints. Good staff, the food was good, and very quick. Yes next time we are in Stroud we be happy to frequent this public house again.

Easy to order using app or qr code. Food and drink arrived quickly. Good value. Most meals include drink.

As I (a black man) got into the pub I've heard a man saying: it's getting dark in here.
Surely nothing to do with the pub or its staff, but not a good look for the place. Of course I ignored him and kept on to have my meal with my family.

Funny pub. Food and drinks are delivered quickly. Polite staff. Always delicious and fast. I love their potato chips, these are the best potato chips. I also like the grilled chicken burger. I recommend everyone to try 🙂👍 delicious unfiltered beer 🍻
And Tuesday- day Steak.

It turns out that Wetherspoons is not a universally uniform experience. Usually my venue of choice for good value good food. On this occasion I was wrong. No butter on my toast (scrambled egg) made the meal dry and relatively unpleasant to eat. I voted against complaining.
