Stopped by last minute for lunch on our way from Plymouth to Portsmouth. What a delight! The fish and chips were excellent and dessert was scrumptious. What an idyllic setting, and the new extension is so beautiful. Lovely garden too.

We went here for the first time this evening and it was really great. The service was super friendly, the food was excellent (I had the black mushroom carbonara which was rich and delicious). The old part of the pub is perfectly preserved and the new addition is complimentary. There is a nice garden too. We will definitely be back.

What an excellent pub! Friendly service, great location and, importantly, excellent food with a menu that goes well beyond the standard British classics. I love countryside pubs but they usually offer all the same four - five choices: not this one! You get the classics and more.

Love this place! This is our go to for a special family meal. We love the garden space in the summer and the cozy interior in the colder months. The food is fantastic and far beyond the typical boring pub meal.

Always a good choice on the menu with all dietary needs catered for.
We're never disappointed here.

Friendly welcome, atmospheric and warm pub which is clearly popular with locals and tourists alike. Superb food all freshly prepared, with dining options in the newer garden room or else in the pub itself. Would highly recommend but you will need to book in advance!

A traditional pub that offers delicious food and a good selection of drinks. Staff were friendly and offered great service. The roads to the pub are quite narrow but it is definitely worth the drive!
