Dog House

We had a lovely meal at the Dog House, the mixed grill was delicious - would recommend the beef dripping sauce! The vegan tomato tart was also very tasty. We had the mocha mousse for pudding which was delightful. Good service and a friendly atmosphere.

My husband and I have just returned from a 1 night stay at this hotel. Staff were very friendly, quick check in, room was clean and adequate for our stay. The only suggestion we would make is for the rooms to be provided with fans, luckily for us a quick phone call to reception resulted in a lady kindly bringing their fan up from the bar for us to use, thank goodness because Unfortunately the windows only open so far, and it would have been unbearable with the heat we've been experiencing lately without it.

I recently visited and on my arrival I was told that unfortunately you were only doing bookings for food which was fine as we were more that happy just to have a drink. We sat by the bar and were just chatting when a customer became aggressive because he hadn’t book and I would like to say that despite being shouted and sworn at Carole was absolutely fantastic and completely keep her cool throughout. I am pretty sure I would not have had that amount of self control. She truly is a credit to greene king. Although we were unable to eat we will still definitely visit again especially as you are so dog friendly. 5*

After walking out of a Chef and Brewer just down the road from The Dog House, we were hopeful and hesitant as to what we were in for!

We were greeted by happy staff, we were seated, orders taken, and the nicest food was delivered.

The staff were so attentive, nothing was too much trouble. Carole in particular made the experience such a positive one for us, thank you Carole.

We will definitely be back to The Dog House.

4 adults and two children ate here early evening.
A large and varied menu supplemented by a good specials board were on offer.
Service was very good and efficient and there was a pleasant atmosphere.
Food was wholesome and well cooked and at a good price.
We would certainly recommend.

Lovely pub and friendly staff. Just like to say a special thankyou to Adam for cooking us some lovely chips when the restaurant had finished serving food. Will definitely be going back to sample some more treats from the menu. Highly recommend u won't be disappointed.

Although the environment is very nice and the staff very friendly, I can't say I rate their food very high. I went for a Christmas dinner at a works outing and the food I reckon had been pre cooked and heated up. The roast potatoes had been deep fried by the taste of them, hard as rock and really floury in the middle. I don't know what they did to the Brussels, they were like lead shot! Plates barely warm. Not a great experience to be honest .

Me and two friends stopped here for a coffee after a walk round Cothill Nature reserve. Pub was lovely and warm - just what we needed! Steve and Lisa were fab and the atmosphere was great! Def recommend if you are walking in the area.
