Visited The Boat Inn after a walk down the canal, it is such a beautiful and tranquil setting. The Landlord and Landlady are fantastic and take the time to speak to their customers and the food is fantastic! The staff go above and beyond to do everything they can for you. I would definitely recommend this place!

Excellent food, served hot, friendly staff, friendly people in all an excellent country pub and i will defitnately be returning. Even if you dont know people you soon do and become friends.
Well i did score this great little pub 5* but unfortunately after continuing to give them our business things unfortunately changed leaving me to knock stars off. We decided to return to this great little pub on the 29th of june 2022 for a drink, my wife decided that she was hungry so i went inside to get a menu. My wife wanted a bowl of chips with bread and butter and i wanted a jumbo hotdog, i went back inside and the person behind the bar asked what she could get me. I replied a bowl of chip with bread and butter she stopped me saying we are only doing main meals. Even before i said il have a jumbo hotdog. I cant believe that a pub can turn custom down, when the order would have come to £10. In the end my wife called at the local chip shop.

Passed by here, from the road it looks very inviting, picturesque by the canal, so called in. Ample parking. However probably needs updating a bit, not quite as nice once there as it looks. Seating is picnic tables which are very old and too low so not comfortable for sitting on. There were people sitting together who had both brought their dogs, who were growling and barking at each other the whole time, so it wasnt quite the peaceful evening by the canal we had expected. The service was quick and friendly.

Spent the evening in this lovely pub. We received a very warm welcome, excellent choice of beers. Food was great, and produced despite having having been busy over the weekend and also a bit of a staffing issue. Thank you to the hosts.

Had a lovely meal for hubby's birthday, can't fault the food, best steak in a good while. Great evening all round. Enjoyed the music and company of the landlord & Landlady. We will be back especially to try the special drink 😜 and have another meal. Thks again 👌 5 stars

Nice canalside pub. Stopped off for a lager and coffee. Idyllic setting.
Updated Feb 2023.
Had Sunday lunch. Delicious. Downside was the service. 50 minutes to get the meal and others who came in and ordered after us were served before us somehow.

5 Stars for extraordinary character - This is absolutely my kind of place.
My own Pub shut down unexpectedly 5 years ago and we all miss it so much. Then, this evening I come across this most excellent place while planning a 2023 vacation. On my next visit to the UK, we will have plans to visit. You're all so fortunate to have such wonderful and inviting pub to enjoy your time. I'd love a home built similar to this architecture. To all you local folks, and regulars, know you live in a exquisite place. Hoping to defect one day. Stay safe and healthy. Jim - Arkansas, USA
