Doctors Tonic

Updated my review after 2 further visits & having a much improved experience with the customer service. Not sure if there has been staff changes or training given but a big improvement and seemed fair to reflect that in adding an extra star.

Staff were friendly and the food arrived quickly. My only gripe was the lack of menu options - the food I selected was my 3rd choice after being told that they didn't have any pies or fish options (was ordering at 3pm on a Sunday).

Highly recommend this pub to friends and family. Every time I come to Doctors Tonic staff are so friendly and attentive. New menu is fantastic great choices of food and drinks. Thanks for the team to made our time so special. 😊

Went for a pub lunch, was an overall lovely experience. We were served by Carmen who gave great customer service and made sure we were okay throughout our time there. Only issue, is the menu change. Very limited options and prices have gone up massively - but this is no fault of the staff.

Disappointed that their road food sign shows menu to draw you in with a great price including a drink no longer available which was very disappointing, I mentioned it to member of staff who apologised and said he would check with manager who confirmed that that promotion had finished! Decided to stay for a drink ordered a few wine's barman was very helpful and pleasant although the glasses of wine were good they were also more expensive than other pubs in the area. I went passed the pub a day later and was disappointed to see the food sign still being displayed. I will go and try again and this time sample the food menu.

Went to the Doctors Tonic for the first time in a while, we were pleasantly surprised how things have changed. Very clean and the staff were outstanding 👏 and friendly. We had a light lunch which was spot on. We'll done to the new manager for turning the pub around from a sticky menu pub to a very well kept family environment. Can't wait to go back.

Seen some changes over the years in the doctors tonic. The new pub GM is really lovely and welcoming.

The pub is always clean and tidy and I love the display when you walk in.

Food has massively improved. We had philby steak and the chicken sharer on our last visit and it was delicious!

Went into the Doctors Tonic last week with a group of friends as I had told them about the menu being value for money. Well the whole menu has changed as well as the prices! You used to be able to buy a meal with chips and a drink for around £6.50. All gone now. Even though it looked cleaner we didn't stay.

Went to the Doctors Tonic last night for a quite date night with my partner. I got a cheese and bacon burger which was lovely filled with juices and cooked lovely. My partner got the fish and chips it looked nice a golden and she said it tasted great. The pub itself was quite and staff were kind and so helpful. Will be visiting again
