The room was on the ground floor, bonus. Unfortunately there was damp and peeling wallpaper and mould in the bathroom. Could do with a bit of attention. Very tired looking. The resturant however was very nice serving great food. The staff that we met were lovely.

We have stayed here many times .
Lovely pub welcoming staff and situated brilliantly for visiting London .

But I am coeliac and the food is very limited but good.
The one complaint I have made numerous times now ,
I have asked for a gluten free lager and still this seems to be an issue ?
most pubs have a GF lager available ..so please when I visit again in November I would really appreciate some GF lager to go with my meal
.
Many Thanks
Kind regards ,
Dawn Carter .

We booked two rooms one was lovely and the other was awful. The remote didn’t work for the TV, the paint and wallpaper was peeling off, the lights didn’t work next to the bed or in the bathroom without the loud extractor fan being on, shower leaked from the head and then onto the floor, headboard was peeling off into the bed, roofers turned up at 8am and were walking right past the bedroom and bathroom window being very noisy carrying tiles up the ladder. I can’t find away to contact anyone so I’ve had to resort to leaving a review hoping that someone will make contact with me. Every time I went to reception there wasn’t anyone there to talk though the issues.

The decor throughout is in need of a refurb. Mould in the bathroom, cobwebs hanging from the ceilings, thick dust around skirting boards. Breakfast was disappointing and our dinner choices were unavailable. Not much going for this place!

We have stayed here twice now each for two weeks on trips “home” from the USA. Super location, a minutes walk from the town and five minutes from the station. The rooms are exactly as advertised and most importantly the food is excellent and (especially) the staff are superb. We will be back again!

The family room (with a sofa-bed) was a good size. The only gripe is that it was really really warm overnight due to the heating being in full blast, and the towel rail being full on, despite a "cost of living crisis".

The breakfast was great and a continental breakfast with the cooked breakfast also livy and quickly served.

Food good. Wait staff totally disinterested. Burns night menu fabulous but no Burns night atmosphere.
Suggest a serious rethink for next year. In hindsight, relieved that some of our guests cried off or could have been seriously embarrassing.

Lovely hotel the quality of the rooms let it down. But still great value for the price. Breakfast was lovely and the waiter was amazing.
