Freemans Arms

This place is super disappointing! Thought it might be nice from the refurbishment but so disappointed. Waited 45 minutes for food, only 3 other tables in the place.
This place strongly needs a good leader to take control and bring up the standards. Menus were dirty and sticky, forks were dirty between the tines. The floor needed a good hoover and a general clean. This place has the potential to be great but needs so tlc and better management to bring the standards up. Food was OK but menu is good. Definitely has the potential to be better.

Food was decent especially considering the price, drinks , inc 3 pints, mains for 3 adults and 2 kids and 3 deserts for £70, can't grumble

Would have given 5 stars if chicken sharer was larger as only enough for 1 person really and no thighs as in description, but my son still enjoyed it.

Will definitely go again.

Visited the Freeman Arms the other week when they had live music on and it was such a buzz and me and my friends really enjoyed it! We had a few small plates to share and it was delicious. Staff were very efficient and we will definitely be visiting again for more live music

Visited during the week for a meal with the family. Lovely pub with a great atmosphere and dog friendly (yes the dog came too)! Lovely reasonably priced food with generous portion sizes. Service was a bit slow but there were a lot of us to serve at one time so understandable. Have been here several times in the past for food and just drinks and entertainment and will definitely be going again.

We went for the first time for a kids Halloween party that The Freeman’s Arms yesterday and I was so impressed with the pub. It’s a hidden treasure! The food was delicious and very good quality at a great price. The pub garden out the back is really lovely and they put on a great event for the kids ( and the pub is big enough that we didn’t disturb all the people having lunch or watching the football on the other side!)

Service was slow which is why I've only gone for 4 stars. Staff were friendly

We visited this pub for a meal with friends. Its a big pub with plenty of room. Food was excellent with a large choice and big portions. We were particularly impressed with the gluten free options which my wife requires. The service was quick and the staff friendly. All in all, a very good night out and this is definitely a place to visit for good value for money.

Waitress was good ( ginger hair ) however when she was doing the checks of the list for steaks and anything else go through the list thoroughly I can understand the business of the night she may forget sometimes but for future I'm sure she will learn from this small mistake.

Chef needs to learn the different steak cooking types despite sending it back to be cooked to what was requested personally I wake up today and feel a little unwell and I believe the cause was the steak. Another thing to note for chef learn how to cook vegetables not place them from a packet onto the plate. If your chef was new I'd suggest he gets trained again. Pains me to say I wouldn't eat again at this place please see to this so others don't then have the sane experience I had regarding these matters
